Chunky Salsa
This chunky salsa recipe is not like smooth salsa, it's like pico de gallo and made with tomatoes, onion, and peppers. Rather than finely mincing the ingredients and blending them into a smooth texture, chunky salsa uses diced ingredients and has a chunkier texture.
Ingredients
- Chopped Green Chillis - Can (4.5 oz)
- Chopped Olives - Can (4.25 oz)
- Pepperoncini - Jar (6 oz)
- Scallions (2 bunch)
- Tomatillos (2 ea)
- Tomatoes - Large (4 ea)
- Paprika (1 ea)
- Tapatio (1 ea)
Steps
- Chop tomatoes, and put into large mixing bowl.
- Chop tomatillos, add to bowl and mix.
- Chop scallions, add to bowl and mix.
- Chop pepperoncini, and add to bowl... pour remaining juice into bowl, and mix.
- Add olives and green chillis, and mix.
- Season heat to taste with paprika and tapatio.
- Refrigerate over night.
Notes
This salsa can be made from mild to super spicy by regulating the Tapatillo or Yuko's Heat Base. Without those two it is mild enough for children.
