Potato Salad - Classic
Potato salad is a salad dish made from boiled potatoes, usually containing a dressing and a variety of other ingredients such as boiled eggs and raw vegetables. In the United States, it is generally considered a side dish and usually accompanies the main course.
Ingredients
- Celery Stalk - 1" dice (8 oz)
- Onion, Red Jumbo - 1/2" dice (8 oz)
- Pepper, Black - ground (8 oz)
- Potatoes, Red (8 oz)
- Dill - stemmed & minced (8 oz)
- Salt, Kosher (8 oz)
- Egg - hard boiled, peeled, 1/2" dice (8 oz)
- Mayonnaise (8 oz)
- Mustard, Dijon (8 oz)
Steps
- Cut the potatoes in half or quarters depending on size, and steam until tender, then chill.
- Mix the chilled potatoes with the celery, onions, and eggs.
- Combine the mayonnaise, dill, and mustard.
- Toss the potato mixture with the dressing.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
