Steak

A steak is a thick cut of meat generally sliced across the muscle fibers, sometimes including a bone. It is normally grilled or fried. Steak can be diced, cooked in sauce, such as in steak and kidney pie, or minced and formed into patties, such as hamburgers.

We have 13 steak locations listed. Most are more of a dress up and enjoy the evening type spot, so this will grow slowly because those chances are far and few between.

What makes the best steak? Some things we are fans of include:

  • Grilled to a sear on the outside, red/pink inside.
  • Flavor of the meat (alone).
  • Texture and consistency.

There are some wonderful sauces and toppings to dress up your perfect steak, but the most important thing is how the steak tastes on its own. The more you depend on the toppings is probably proportionate to the meat being used.

We're open to how each dish may call for a different cooking technique, such as using a sous vide, or pan frying in a saute, but for the purpose of raw flavor with think a rubbed steak over an open flame grill is the best.

Bonus - Before you grill make several stab marks in your steak, and put a garlic clove section in each.
