Others: Best Burger: Smash Burger Special

We have 23 smash locations listed so far.

There are some places that take a burger and smash it, and there are some places that use thin patties that may or may not be smashed. The thing that they have in common is not being able to pick the meat temp. That means this type of burger typically relies on the overall creation the chef has prepared. People who like their meat medium well and above will find these to be outstanding! We agree.

Some things we are fans of include:

• Overall flavor and concept.
• Quality of sides, and how they compliment.
• Beverage options.
• Presentation counts.

11. Taylor's Refresher - St. Helena (website) - Member of an area fast-food chain (Gott's) with indoor-outdoor seating showcases gourmet burgers & tacos. Taylor's gets its own recognition because it was the original the others came from, and it is a better experience. Always Taylor's.

13. Imagination on Fire - Napa (truck) (website) - Family owned and operated. Chef Erik Hangman is a Napa Native with a passion for BBQ and Open Fire cooking in a mobile food trailer. His biggest Chef Mentors are Francis Mallman and Thomas Keller, having worked at Ad Hoc in Yountville previously for Chef Keller. He lives up to the highest standards instilled in him while working there.
